Timetable iPRES online – Dutch contributions

The timetable of iPRES, the major international conference on the preservation and long-term management of digital materials, is now online. Amongst the international contributors to the programme are a Dutch keynote and three Dutch projects. iPRES 2017 takes place in Kyoto, Japan, from 25 to 29 September.

Dutch contributions

The Dutch representatives work at various institutions that all take part in the national collaboration in the Digital Heritage Network and the Netherlands Coalition for Digital Preservation. We are very pleased with the possibility to share our knowledge and discuss our projects in the following sessions:

  • September 26, 13.00 – 14.30h: Keynote Ingrid Dillo (Data Archiving and Networked Services)
    FAIR Data in Trustworthy Data Repositories. Open data and data sharing — The concept of trust and repository certification — Fair data in trustworthy digital repositories
  • September 27, 8.50 – 10.20h: Remco van Veenendaal, Marcel Ras and Marie Claire Dangerfield (Digital Heritage Network)
    Getting Persistent Identifiers Implemented By ‘Cutting In The Middle-Man’ (short paper based on the Persistent identifier project)
  • September 27, 15.10 – 15.40h: Joost van der Nat and Marcel Ras (Digital Heritage Network)
    A Dutch approach in constructing a network of nationwide facilities for digital preservation together (short paper based on the Distributed facilities project)
  • September 28, 11.30 – 12.00h: Barbara Sierman and Kees Waterman (Digital Heritage Network)
    How the Dutch prepared for certification (full paper based on the Roadmap for certification project)
  • September 28, 15.30 – 18.30h: Joost van der Nat and Marcel Ras (Digital Heritage Network)
    A Dutch approach in constructing a network of nationwide facilities for digital preservation together (workshop based on the Persistent identifier project))
